COURSES

This course has been designed to help you understand the concept of Flow Assurance. It is constituted by a series of tutorials explaining some basic physics and practical exercises on how to prevent, detect or mitigate Flow Assurance issues.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is divided into six sections. Each section will face different Flow Assurance issues, such as hydrates or liquid loading. The user will go through theory tutorials showing the physics behind these problems and practical tutorials to learn how to model those situations and prevent, detect or mitigate them using different options.

HYDRATES

The following section contains basic theory and exercises involving the formation of hydrates in production systems.

EROSION

The following section contains an introduction to erosion and exercises on how to model it in GAP and PROSPER. Technics to detect and prevent it will be discussed.

WAX DEPOSITION

An introduction to wax deposition issues will be discussed in this section. An exercise in PVTP will show us how to model the production fluid and determine the wax temperature curve. A PROSPER exercise will help us to identify in which section of our production system wax deposition is likely to occur.
